What Our Graduates Are Saying

“The YTT at YogaLab was science-based and helped me understand why (and why not) we practice poses the way we do, and how activating certain muscle groups in the right way can make a practice both safer and more effective. Beyond that, each teacher had a unique style and strength in their own practice, which allowed me to learn something valuable from each of them. Through mindfulness practices, I became more compassionate with myself and my body, learned to take intentional breaks when needed, and also discovered how to challenge myself in healthy ways. By the end of the 9 months, I was genuinely surprised by how much my body and my mind had responded to the practices I had done! Thanks Anna, Kristen, and Jeremy and great community in the Yoga Lab.”

— Kıvılcım D. (2025)

“This training was nothing short of transformational.

Yoga Lab’s YTT called me into a deeper connection with myself than I’ve ever experienced before. I came in wanting to learn how to teach—and I left not only feeling prepared to teach, but also feeling more fully me. This training held space for my healing, my voice, my truth, and my becoming.

One of the biggest gifts was learning to approach yoga through the lens of functional movement. I had spent years trying to “deepen” into poses, but this training taught me to move with intention, intelligence, and care. As a result, my personal practice has deepened—not because I’m doing more, but because I’m moving with more purpose, strength, and awareness.

It wasn’t always easy, and that’s what made it so powerful. I was able to show up as a mother, a partner, and a human in process—and be met with grace, wisdom, and community. The way the teachers modeled authenticity, embodiment, and presence gave me permission to do the same.

If you’re looking for a YTT that’s more than just technical knowledge—if you want something that integrates heart, body, spirit, and real-life depth—this is it.”

— Alex N. (2025)

“I would absolutely recommend Yoga Lab Teacher training to anyone who is interested in pursuing teacher training! This yoga teacher training program is a transformative journey, deeply impacting myself both personally and professionally. The time, energy, and enthusiasm devoted to the teacher training program by Anna, Kristen and Jeremy is colossal. The framework of the modules and the weekend intensives provided a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, equipping myself and classmates with the knowledge and confidence to teach yoga effectively and confidently. The program fosters a sense of community, encourages personal growth, and offers functional movement with a focus on getting out of the sagittal plane we all live in. It incorporates mindfulness, encompassing physical practice, meditation – history of yoga- the good the bad and the ugly and left me fully prepared to teach an hour-long yoga class! If you are considering pursuing YTT (Yoga teacher training) this is fabulous program to engage with a very loving supportive community of teachers and classmates. ”
