Ernie Huff
RYT200
Ernie found yoga in 2024 during a period of work stress and personal challenge, looking for a practice that supported both physical movement and emotional steadiness. After being diagnosed with a heart condition, yoga became a natural way to stay active, and manage stress. He completed his 200 hour teacher training at Yoga Lab with Anna, Jeremy, and Kristen, where he deepened his appreciation for mindful movement and grew foundational knowledge.
With a background in safety and ergonomics, Ernie brings a practical understanding of how bodies move in real environments. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and has spent ~7 years working in industrial settings responding to ergonomic injuries — experiences that sparked his early curiosity about functional movement and eventually led him to yoga. He currently works for Penn State in Environmental Health and Safety.
Outside the studio, Ernie is a founding member of Positively Impacting Tanzania (PIT), a nonprofit supporting education, healthcare, and basic needs for at risk children in Tanzania. He also enjoys running, playing video games, and spending time outdoors.
