What Our Graduates Are Saying

“I am so honored to have received my yoga teacher training at the Yoga Lab. The teaching staff at the studio, and my peers, made this experience so amazing. I learned more than what any other yoga training program offered to teach me. I was challenged physically and mentally in the best way possible and I went deep into my yoga practice and feel prepared to teach others in the future. I would train with the Yoga Lab again in the future if presented with another opportunity, thank you!”

— Adriana R.M., Graduated May 2023

“Thanks to Yoga Lab I accomplished the certification with a Diversity & Equity Scholarship. The experience was beyond expectations, it changed for good my practice. I found here, purpose, kindness, authenticity and a path for constant learning. I discovered the importance of a sustainable movement and how this becomes and invitation to action, to achieve a healthy life and impact positively the community. My Yoga Lab teachers are an inspiration, all my gratitude to them for their knowledge and wisdom. Namaste.”

— Cristy M., Graduated August 2021

“The Teacher Training program at Yoga Lab was both scholarly in its approach to anatomy, philosophy, and sequencing, as well as humanistic and practical in the ways this knowledge can inform our journey as a teacher; it was refreshingly pragmatic in its approach and always positive. There is no doubt I have a strong, foundational base upon which to build my teaching going forward.”

— Scott B., Graduated May 2020

Diversity and Equity Scholarship

Diversity & Equity Scholarship

Yoga Lab is committed to diversity, equity, inclusivity, and accessibility (DEIA) in yoga. We recognize that there are inequities in the systems that surround yoga, and we want to do what we can to create an equitable and inclusive yoga environment at Yoga Lab. One of the best ways we can do that is to support the training of new teachers from underrepresented communities in order to amplify a diverse range of voices in yoga teaching.

This scholarship is intended for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and/or LGBTQ applicants who are interested in teaching yoga. Priority for these scholarships will be given to local applicants who are interested in teaching in-person classes at our Yoga Lab Studio space in State College, PA, and are legally able to do so (e.g., without visa conflicts). Priority will be given to applicants who are driven to create access to yoga for underserved communities or populations.

Yoga Lab will award up to 3 of these DEIA Scholarships for 30% off the training tuition.

“I love the fact I was able to participate through a diversity scholarship! If this hadn't been available, I'm not sure where I would be in my yoga journey! They were very open to me creating my own style of class that was culturally important to me! I'm so grateful and ready to teach! Hip-Hop Yoga here I come!”
